The Challenge
A local homeowner was having issues with their aging roof system in the middle of winter. The home was struggling to maintain a comfortable temperature, and the owner’s energy bills were significantly higher than usual. It was clear the roof was facing a lot of problems.
The Strategy - Creative Process
We conduct an in-person site visit for every customer to make sure we provide an accurate quote and show exactly what needs to be done for the highest quality roof replacement.
During this visit, we assessed:
- The current layers on the roof
- Any soft spots that may indicate the need for plywood replacement
- The current roof ventilation will need to be improved to meet current building codes.
After the on-site visit, we issued a quote detailing several different options for asphalt shingles, so the homeowner could choose a shingle that fits their needs and budget. We also recommended upgrades (like gutters) that will improve their home value and roof system.
Once the homeowner selected their desired roofing material and color, we began the permitting process and scheduled a start date with one of our crews. Each crew is trained to work efficiently, resulting in shorter project times and quality roofing results. While homeowners are not required to be home for the start date, we coordinate a time that works best for each customer.
The Timeline
We understand there is never a “convenient” time to get a full roof replacement. That’s why our team is deeply committed to efficient project management - which means showing up on time every day until the job is done.
Week 1:
- The homeowner reached out to us
- We went to their home and conducted our inspection
- We delivered the project quote with material suggestions
- The homeowner signed the quote
Week 2:
- We ordered the materials
- We prepared the jobsite
- We began the approval and permitting process
- Our team started the project
Week 3:
- We removed the old roofing
- Our team performed the complete roof replacement
- We worked diligently and efficiently to get the job done right
Week 4:
- We wrapped up the roof replacement project
- Our team performed a comprehensive inspection for quality assurance
- We cleaned up the jobsite and completed the project
After the quote was approved, we had the roof installed within one month. We timed the roof replacement around the weather to avoid the roof being exposed during any storms.
The Challenge
We removed all components of the damaged roof system and replaced the damaged plywood underneath. From here, we installed a new roof system with gutters designed to last at least 20-30 years and protect their home from future damage.
